Introduction
Dr. Huang Yu-Chin is currently the Chair of the Department of Art History at Tainan National University of the Arts. He is a graduate of SOAS, University of London. Dr. Huang has always been concerned with popular culture and specializes in the study of visual culture in the lives of the general public, analyzing the mechanisms behind everyday life through objects and images.
In recent years, his academic activities have focused on project research, included MOST Research Project "Conversing with the Statues of the Great in Taiwan: Cultural Heritage as Method" (2021-2022), Chiayi Art Museum research project (2021-2023) and publications "Magical Mystery Tool: The Props in the Production Design of Jiangshi Films of Hong Kong in the 1980s (2020)”… etc.
