Introduction

Lu, Tai-kang, Ph. D., Professor, teaching in the Department of Art History, Tainan National University of the Arts, Taiwan. Dr. Lu received his Ph.D. in the Department of History, National Cheng kung University, Tainan. The research fields of Prof. Lu focus on Asia ceramic study, historical archaeology, antique study in cultural heritage, and the research of the ancient kiln industry. The most recent publications of Prof. Lu include ‘The research of western silver coins found in southern Taiwan’; ‘The research of the Japanese copper wire bar found in Ma-gung harbor, Pescadores (Peng-hu archipelago)’; ‘The study of ceramics found in the R. Central, the hillsides of St. Augustine's square, Macau’; ‘The Study of ancient ceramic incense burner found in temples around southern Taiwan’; ‘The ancient black tile kiln in Fujian and Taiwan.’
