Professor

Introduction

Professor Pan Liang-wen is a Doctor of Philosophy from Kobe University, Japan. Her research interests include Buddhist art and Japanese art, and she is also concerned with the cultural exchange between China and Japan.
Professor Pan has taught at the Tainan National University of the Arts for many years, and maintains good relations with many museums and cultural/educational institutions.
She is one of the few researchers in Taiwan who is deeply involved in Buddhist art. In recent years, she has hosted the College of Cultural Heritage (in TNNUA), which is dedicated to promoting the preservation and understanding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
Her research publications include "A Study of Vimalakirti Sutra Art in the Northern Dynasties - Focusing on
single statue " (2018) and "A Study of Lushena Buddha's Images - Focusing on Works before the Eighth Century" (2017-2018) 、…etc.
